A stock Marui G17 BBH is around 55g (not internals). The AIP one I measured was 23.8g (no internals).

Well, no luck on finding a floating valve all the ones I found were for KSC, I emailed TMC about the selector switch and firefly valve so I'll see what they say.

I ordered one from scopeandlaser.com because it claimed to be in stock but the owner emailed me shortly after and I was refunded.

As for sights, still, no luck.

yeah. TMC takes a day to respond. they've been noticeably slower since they're new site came into being. i just orderd a Creation Inner slide for my Tm 5-7. cant wait to install that sucker.

there are plenty of floating valves available from a number of retialers. some metal some plastic like the stock one.

Have you tried dentrinity or uncompany for the sights?

Those are model guns. They Don't fire or anything. More likely used for displaying. That company is know for making them. THey have a whole bunch of non firing revolvers int he product line.

If you're just replacing it for aesthetics purposes, I wouldn't even bother buying a new piece. It's not broken so don't try and fix it. Save your money and buy it when the part breaks.

Plus you'll run the chance of losing and altering the performance of the parts when you take it apart. I can't tell you how many people lose the spring and the nub that keep the fire selector in place.

Paint it if you want but just make sure you don't overpaint and fill the little whole where the nub and spring resides. You'll need to disassemble it and strip the paint completely. Spray paint it with whatever paint you choose but make it bonds to the metal. AND DON'T LOSE THOSE TWO PARTS!!!!!

I still need to find a front sight post :(

you can make one yourself very easily. it depends if you want a plastic or a metal one.

So the sweet little TM Glock 26 that MilanWG sold me back in June has finally failed in the part that he warned me about -- the recoil spring guide.

Unfortunately, the ol' 26 has a unique guide that is not in any way similar to the 17 or 18 guide. It has a plastic floating bushing separated by two springs. The smaller spring goes inside of the bushing such that it is inside of the larger spring for about 5mm or so. Turns out this is critical in the correct spacing for the slide to align with the catch after a shot.

The plastic bushing had failed before the gun was sold to me, but it had been patched up decently with glue. That sort of thing never lasts though, and it failed again last week. Here's what the guide looks like after failure, with the bushing stuck inside the larger spring:

When this happened I kinda scrambled through my parts bin madly looking for something that could serve as a replacement part for the bushing. The only thing remotely appropriate was a metal nut from a PEQ box that came with my DBoys PDW... Here's what the prototype looked like:

As you can see it had some tabs on the side which prevented any kind of cycling, so I took out my Dremel and went to work.. And here's what it looks like now after a bit more work on the shape, as well as creating an inner bore to allow the smaller spring to extend into the larger spring:

So I've got the gun firing again by dremeling the metal nut into a rough replacement, but I'd like a more permanent solution if possible... I've taken some measurements and might try my hand at 3d printing a simple plastic (ABS?) replacement with a Makerbot, but first ... I wanted to check if any of you guys (e-luder?) know where I could find a legit replacement for this part.

The two G26 recoil spring guides I've seen anywhere on the net are both for the KSC version of the gun, and kinda look different from the TM one, so I assume those are no good.

Impressive. I made one years back from a piece of toaster. lol.

Dunno where you can get the just that piece without having to buy the whole spring guide...
