Tru works through a broker, he doesn't import directly, therefore, he most likely can't bring in individual guns for someone.
As said in one of the first replies, SELL IN THE US, then buy once he gets here. |
JOKETell him to take his gear box out and paint the gun with a washable neon color 8) JOKE

I would tell your friend to ship anything like mags or optics or rails to Canada and sell the actual gun in the States. Anything expensive and legal to ship across the border should be kept. Even legal stuff might possibly get seized, but he should be able to argue with customs and get it back. Just sell the actual gun and buy it back here across the border.

Customs agents can and will dissassemble a vehical and it's contents if they suspect anything... right down to just nuts and bolts. It's your responsiblity to put everything back together.

These days, you face another problem. If they search, they will take the vehicle apart.
If they find anything you cant import, they can seize all you own and then put your ass in a RCMP car. Hide stuff? These days? That is really stupid advice. |
Amazing that topics like this keep coming up. Oh, and Erik, give your head a shake. Why would you persist in your arguement in the face of all the valid points to the contrary?
I am constantly amazed by the response of some people when they keep insisting that something should be possible, even though the majority of posters here have pointed out why it is a very bad idea. If you are so confident in being able to smuggle (which is what you recommended), why aren't you doing it at every opportunity? Bringing airsoft into Canada without the necessary permits IS illegal. It is smuggling, plain and simple. Get caught, quite possibly go to jail, not to mention having the offending articles siezed. And forget about getting them back by appealing the siezure. It will not happen. So, to the fellow that started the thread, follow the more sane advice proffered by the majority here. |
