Wow. Looks very painful. The Real-Steel one puts out a 700grain bullet as fast as a 30-06 puts out a 180grain. 2800 FPS. Though I don't know what any max loads are for .50BMG. And 12,000 foot punds compared to the 30-06's about 3,100.

Now how is it inhumane to shoot a person with this. And it's not inhumane to shoot someone with .308? Either way, you're trying to kill them. At least with a .50BMG, they're less likely to feel it. Imagine some kind of fast fragmenting bullet for this thing, like a Hornady V-Max varmint bullet. I'd use a 550grain V-Max for those squirrels :)

Actually not kill but wound, its far better to wound an enemy than kill them.

I saw that episode of MythBusters, and yea the bullet's inertia (not sure if thats the correct spelling or not.... :? ) tore the jacket off it after it penetrated about a foot of the pools surface. Made one HELL of a splash though. Water, Nature's bulletproof vest.... :smile:
