Chairsofters would rather spend time posting, opposed to playing.

Chairsofters think that Counterstrike Source and Battlefield 2 is real battle in real life. That you can jump to dodge the bbs, roll and make some matrix move to kill any opponents !

They'll probably come to an airsoft event with their Keyboard and mouse ! :smack:

Here's how I do it. In the on season, I airsoft. In the off season, I chairsoft.

They'd probably whine about the fact that the people who get hits on them are "wallhackers" or have an "aimbot"

Nah, it's Boxing Day. We can bitch as much as we want, and fight over 50-percent-off bags of useless items.

I used to play paintball, and got into airsoft toward the end of this year. I have a lot of fun plinking with my airsofts and chatting with the knowledgeable folk here on ASC about tweaks and tips for getting the most out of them. I personally don't feel obligated to field my airsoft rifle to justify its purchase. I'm currently quite content to take it apart, put it back together and shoot holes in everything in my apartment with it. Chairsoft Pride!

Or you can go to games regardless if it's on or off season ;)

Not everyone has the advantage of our Vancouver warm weather year round. I sure as hell wouldn't take my AEG out in anything lower than -10 degrees Celsius. Luckily, in Vancouver, that's not all that likely to happen.

If I go to a game and I just bring a really nice chair and sit all day...is that chairsofting????

I know you're joking but yup.. it is. Sitting around in the safe zone for long durations of time during a game u signed up for is the worse form of chairsofting (unbalances teams)

There's an off-season?!!

yanhchan December 26th, 2005 08:28

Wait are you telling me people pay good money to dress up in all their gear and just sit at the safe zone all day??? Whoa...i guess if they're hurt its understandable but wow...just wow...

LOL

The requirement for attendance can also be misleading.

Sometimes 'real life' and other priorities go far above attending games.

What bugs me is not the game attendance; I've seen folks who do attend games and still dont know shit. It's people who arrive, know everything because they read it someplace, never tried or owned a product or something sufficiently similar type to make an informed comment.
Those people give tons of advice to equally new folks who take it as gospel.

Currently, I fully qualify as a chairsofter. I think I could earn the Golden La-Z-Boy award. Why? Real life deeply SUCKED for me in the past few years; games became quite secondary. So if for that I get lumped along with the ignorant, so be it.
