I always believe in full face protection. Full seal goggles and lower face mesh. I also wear a helmet because a head shot is very painful.

Here is a video I found which makes me feel good about full face protection.

I had this happen to me, but not as deep and it was between my nose and mouth off to the side. I didn't even know it was there until my friend told me in the staging area. Right when I popped it out, lots of blood dripped out and I kinda panicked. Continued playing after a few rounds though.

Worst injury i've ever sustained in airsoft was actually at my first official game, i jumped into a foxhole and when my right foot landed, my ankle rolled and i damaged the Ligament in the right ankle so severely i almost needed surgery. Still hurts every now and again too. But i did soldier the busted ankle for 8 hours without taking my boot off.

Worst injury I had playing airsoft was back then in 2004. Managed to get hit by a spring sniper rifle @ 20 feet right on the cheek near the mouth. I think the scar is still visible today. That one was a bleeder alright.

Why do people continue to play without face, ear or head protection after seeing so many grusome accidents?

Reignman July 26th, 2012 16:06

its a choice, no other reason.

I play with the knowledge that this could happen and will live with the consequences of my choice.

Ive had half a tooth shot out and had to pop bb's outta my fore head but I'll prob never wear a face mask. Mouth guard sure but like deadpool said I'll live with my actions.

last milsim i was in i was playing one of 3 medics on my team and we had to defend a hill for like 15 or 20 min i think it was. Anyway a few of our guys decided they would go to the bottom of the hill and shoot across the valley instead of waiting at the top of the hill for them to try and come up. Well a few went down so being a medic i had to run down the hill to get them back into the fight. Well the dumbass i am i tried to jump over a log.....only to land on another one fall flat on my face and took a chunk of skin out of my arm.

OP Shallow lake. Right side lip. Shot with a hot PTW from 12 feet while unarmed. I have a nice little scar there now!

I reading about a lot of chipped tooth injuries; would a neoprene mask prevent those?
