Can you fit a TM Mech box in the JG HK 416?

jesster202 January 24th, 2008 16:20

shure can. jg is basicly a clone of tm bad and good. you shouldnt have any trobble. but i still think jg mech boxes are good except for the fact you just need to reshim and metal bussings outher than that they shoot nice at a stock level

I heard that the bushings are metal, at least the v2 of the gun is, any truth to this?

dodger_me January 24th, 2008 23:44

mine that i got from AA(m4) in november has plastic bushings, not sure about the new ones with the black gearbox

Qlong January 25th, 2008 01:05

I'm holding one of these right now...and it's a beautiful thing. Full stock, too. Battery fits kinda tight, but hey, no rattle!! Rear sights are kinda loose, though...

Ill be using this as a CQB gun and I really don't like the idea of 420 FPS.

Will this baby accept springs intended for TM?

Screamer- January 26th, 2008 09:17

I have do some search on the net and sometime the picture of the JG HK416 don't have the mark HK on it... why... because they have clone of clone...

jesster202 January 26th, 2008 10:48

jey wilson jg is an exzact copy of tm good and bad so in outher words yes its 100 percent tm compatible so get a diffrent spring if you want. i think it be a good idea make the gears last longer. problay get a boost in rof too.

Would the HK 416 use the body pin of the M-4?

Thanks

I put a stock TM spring into mine, I just cut off the little arm that comes on it, anyways, the ROF raised cosniderably with a TM stock spring so I think Im gona have to find a slightly weaker battery.

Actually, I was considering doing that as well once I receive mine to try to minimize the wear on the internals. I have the leftover stock spring from my TM that would work fine. I don't plan on upgrading this gun in any way (unless something breaks and I have to), so I think this would probably preserve its internals.

I see the 10" HK 416 as more of a CQB gun anyway and stock it shoots way too hot for that. I have no intention of ever using it for an outdoor game. Same with shooting in my basement. 400 fps is just too much.

I won't even use my C8 in my house now (roughly 360-370 fps) because I find it too powerful and it tends to go right through my targets rather than being stopped by them. The 416 will be my 'home plinker' and a collector's piece only, so a big power downgrade will probably be a very good thing. Probably get me a stupidly high ROF too. lol
