I'm still waiting for my order dated Oct 18 from WGC...pending customs inspection.

What are the channels / contact info necessary to do what Ducky & Amos have spoken of to deal with in person?

I've waited long enough!

ILLusion October 30th, 2007 16:01

Speak to the carrier.

KEVORKIAN October 30th, 2007 16:04

So once it arrives in Canada, where does it end up province-wise? As for carrier, would that be Canada Post? I've emailed Hong Kong post as per instructions from the tracking number & they said that it was out of their hands!

ILLusion October 30th, 2007 16:11

That depends on who the original carrier was.

If it's Speedpost EMS, then yes, the Canadian carrier is CanPost.

KEVORKIAN October 30th, 2007 16:51

I spoke with Canada Post in regards to the delay...they said it was out of their hands. They actually referred me over to Canada Customs (1-800-461-9999) & said to contact them = customs officer said that they are experiencing a huge backlog which would account for the longer delay in clearing customs! They will not look into the matter further for you, basically you HAVE to wait...no question about it!

Any further suggestions?

oh, so that's where my new taclight probably is lol. it's been a week and i was starting to get worried. nothing suspicious about an ultrafire, is there? XD

Ducky October 30th, 2007 17:55

You could try going to a customs office, they might be more helpful in person. I'm pretty sure they have to tell you what the status is if you inquire, it is kinda their job.

Ducky October 30th, 2007 19:04

lol OH NO because we wouldn't to over work them! I say you phone them every 5 min just because they say to be patient.

With the Canadian dollar kicking so much greenback ass all over the continent EVERYONE is cashing in and ordering things from the States.

Customs and Canada Post will be up to their ears in packages for a while, it sucks, it's cliche, but you just need to be paitient...

I had to wait about a month for 5 books coming from New York, BOOKS! In a box marked "Barnes and Noble" sometimes it's not just the item in question being held, but the fact that there's a million and two packages waiting to be cleared.

I don't really agree with the BACKLOG notion at all. I have items ordered after Kev through Huanq, that I have received already. I more inclined to believe that depending on who the sender is decides how quickly your package goes through customs.

KEVORKIAN November 1st, 2007 14:55

I've been released...

Just got confirmation that my parcel has left customs & is on its way...

Anyone else have good news???

Spawn28 November 1st, 2007 15:06
