Built it myself. PVC pipe + wooden dowel.
the inner barrel is a 509mm

working on getting a rail for the lower, so i can mount a vert grip or an AFG.

I had the idea of chopping the barrel originally but, I decided that the empty silencer would lighten the whole thing, which it has.

I wanted a lightweight DMR style AEG that could collapse down when slung. I had an MP5 on hand and came up with this. Used shorty mags so it could be shouldered comfortably when prone.

469mm tightbore (G3-SG1 length), Lipo and mosfet for Semi-Auto trigger. 425-435fps.

@ shadow_matter 430 for an mp5? what kind of internal work besides the mosfet did you do?

Helical gears & piston
Bore-Up Kit (to match the longer barrel)
A good hopup rubber and inner barrel.

Basically the same components you'd put into an AR platform DMR.

Bonus of the MP5 is that there are no rails or metal lower receiver adding weight. The silencer/barrel extension is aluminum - weighs just over 8 ounces. Gun with battery & mosfet installed weighed less than 5.5lbs (no mag or optic).

To this day I still think that M4 is one of the best I have seen.

Shadow_matter really like your MP5 DMR (SAPS) and was wondering if you can give me some tips so I can do something similar to my MP5.
I do not know anything about upgrading the internals of an airsoft gun and very little about externals but I do have some questions (hopefully they make sense).

Is it possible to have a gun doc install a longer (and tightbore) barrel on my CYMA MP5J (CM.041J)?

I would also add a mosfet and deans connectors, but do I need to modify anything else to make the MP5 function with a longer barrel?

Sweet jesus, is that a FAMAS with a P90 lower and a G36 top rail somehow all meshed together? I fucking want that now!

He spent a lot of time making that, needed to make custom plastic bits to make it all fit. It's also got an AR styled charging handle, and he mashed together an AR and mp5 rear sight, too. Check out the flashlight in the front grip, too.

So just chrono'd the B.C.R 50. 377-380.

It looks like the M249 that he turned into a C9...

The bent m249 receiver is from Jackters c9 and the box mag using an aeg motor was a attemp to slavage a busted boxbag and mod it so it would keep up with a very high rof gun.... It worked to well where the gun could not keep up with the boxmag and the bbs would just eject from the little spring type feed tube. Worked good until the mag experienced a jam and stripped the feeding mechanisim...

Did he just happen to have nothing to do for an entire fucking year or something? Sounds like he was just looking for a challenge, LOL!

Lol that scope is just about what you need for CQB, I would like to see what you come up with for long range Blue Neon shooting.

You could turn the viewing end sideway and you get a corner engagement sniper rifle...

While not airsoft (pellet/.177bb), we had a lot of fun sticking stuff on these.

Not sure if it's much of an abomination compared to other things posted but here's my baby:

My baby, a Classic Army M15A4 Tactical Carbine (basically a m4 with a full stock) with an barrel-mount Classic Army short m203 grenade Launcher, and a misc red dot reflex sight and a G&P tactical flashlight on a carry-handle Z rail. Oh and some random flip-up front sight.

My next step is to install LEDs for some under glow, every time I shoot I want it to light up.

That reminds me of my sleeper in paintball. I bought a brass eagle from Canadian Tire and swapped it with the internals of an $1800 Angel. People laughed at the pro with the clear marker until I hit em with 40 bps with fantastic range.

Haha a man after my own heart, I thought of putting the dsg gearbox in there but last plastic one it was in the thing broke in half from the repeated impact.

Another bastard in the family, fully upgraded tsd vsr10. It is no longer mine as I traded it but had Laylax parts, custom parts, rear stock was cut out filled with foam then heated and a mag holder was formed in there, then sculpted with cold steel mag stays tight so should never fall out. Barrel was shortened, the front end of the stock was cut off at the front support wall so its still one piece and not filled at front.

As dumb as the UAR is milsim wise, it still looks like a very practical gun. I kind of want one... you can squint really hard and pretend it's some sort of FAMAS variant ;)

this thing all started out as restoration a restoration project for one of my old non-working nitro r/c cars (I was into rc cars way before i got into airsoft).

I spent around $200-250 restoring / converting it to electric and to get it up and running again. then figured why don't i try to make some air-soft use out of this.
one thing lead to another and id say i ended up spending another $500 or so (the video goggles on my helmet is what cost the most @ $300)


I've retired it for a few reasons
1: this thing was built for speed, it pops wheelie's when you accelerate, pulls stoppies / flips over when you break to hard, rolls at high speed turning. the turning radius is also pretty huge. So I'm pretty limited to where i can use it. that warehouse where rhino 2 took place was ideal.

2: the ACM claymore stinks.... the remote range stinks & every once in a while when i pop a wheelie it automatically triggers. i was planning to improve the trigger mechanism and wire the trigger to my radio, but got lazy and never got around to doing it.

3: I would rather spend the money on something more useless........ like a flying version of this abomination mwhaha

Soooo....Possibly a Parot AR drone RC quadcopter figuring into your 2013 "Skunk Works" project schedule there Eddy? Whatever you use for a UAV if it's to be flown in proximity to humans, it would need to be made reasonably safe from accidental collision with arms/heads/hands/etc. A regular electric RC heli like a T-Rex 450/650 has far too much rotor inertia and could easily take off someone's hand or worse if the main rotor blades caught someone while spinning at full flight RPM. At least the Parrot has a foam protective shroud around each of the quad rotors acting as a safety "bumper". But given that the Parrot AR is more or less an advanced novelty, I am uncertain of what useful load in terms of payload weight it can haul into the air as compared with a larger conventional heli. It does have the advantage of video streaming so you won't need to haul a video camera aloft, and it is also fly-by-WiFi controlled. It connects to your iPhone or iPad and uses the phone's inertial sensor for flight control.
