KA Delta Ring Tight?
 

just got a King Arms Delta Ring and was wondering is all delta ring is suppose to be really tight when threaded on to the upper receiver? I have a G&P Magpul PTS receiver and it appears that Ican only do 1 or 2 turns before it nearly imossible to put on?

Since its a thread I'm not too sure how to go about getting it loosen? Should just keep turning and work out the coating or is there something worng with it?

Are you talking about the barrel nut? With different companies comes different tolerances. Take it off and use a wire brush or a dremel with a wire wheel to take some of the coating off the threads. Add some grease before reinstall.

They're different threading. Use a thread file or a die to recut the threads of the body...or buy a G&P delta ring.

effort vs. cost....I'd just buy a G&P delta ring.

I see thanks. is there a large tollerence differnce or just +/- 0.005" kind of thing?

It's more a difference on the threading dimensions than tolerance at this level.
