Quick question about Ambi safety

Is this ambi safety functional for AEGs?

http://www.kingarms.com/productpage.asp?prodid=1217

The reason why im asking is because i dont see any holes in the mechbox that connects this to the left side of the gun..

No. The one you linked is cosmetic and not connected to anything...while it can rotate, it won't rotate in synch with the other lever. And depending on the setup/fit it might be loose.

Waste of time.

That sucks, thanks Tyson.

Actually, im looking for a STEEL ambi magazine release for my AEG... Is it possible to convert this one: http://www.wgcshop.com/ for AEG? If i cut off the thickness of the oval piece, will this fit an AEG?

Steel it is.

These ones claims to be made from steel despite the fact that one of their images is that of a regular magazine catch.

You may wish to email the retailers to confirm.

The KA one is steel.

But as most KA products, it is a hit or miss thing. Installed that very one in a gun but it was causing feedings because the catch was not aligned properly.
Installed a regular catch instea.
