Birchwood Casey SNO Universal Gun Grease = Petrol based!

hi,

so what is the case with this gungrease?
http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/...CC-BCASEY40125
is it or isnt it petrolium based?

So far I used it for my metal bolt inside of my WE Scar....

Currently I applied some of the grease on my spare o rings, I wanted to test if it eats O rings.
But can someone confirm if this is good for airsoft use?

thx,
Riko

You can find silicon grease used in food processing machinery & in brake systems. So if you know someone who repairs the equipment in an institutional cafeteria or a sausage factory you can hit them up.

I've been using "kleen-flo eze slide brake lubricant", I don't think you'll find that brand over there but there has to be something similar.

hehe thx

but for now I just will pay attention where I apply that grease...so I will keep using it for the bolt areas, and stay far far away from any rubber parts and rings :)

+ I have found a store that sells "white grease" wich is what I would need I assume?

my preferred GBBR grease/lubricant:

Permatex Ultra Slick Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease

for o-rings instead of silicon oil:

ARS Sticky-G Silicone O-Ring Grease

white lithium grease is okay but a mess to clean up. it dries out and cakes on over time.

Anytime I see "white grease" it's a lithium grease.

Any silicon grease I've come across has been either clear or had a translucent colour. Kind of like gelatin.

thanks for the tips you guys!!

unfort, I cant get "silicon" grease in my neighbourhood it seems, only the white lithium grease type.....
