Tightbore barrels
 

I know these aren't brandname tightbores maybe so save the flaming please but just wondering if any of you have ever used any of these tightbore barrels, and if they are any good or not. http://www.airsoftpark.com/product_i...oducts_id=3016

At $16, I would say that a stock marui or G&P barrel would be far more effective.
The biggest factor in range and accuracy when it comes to the barrel itself is the consistency of the bore, not the actual size.
For example, a quality 6.08mm barrel will be more accurate than a really cheap 6.03 barrel
Remember, in airsoft, you always get what you pay for!
Sometimes it's better to use stock parts than really cheap upgrade parts...

This is 100% correct. Huge +1. It is always a common misconception that the bore diameter IS the difference in accuracy, but actually the consistency of the bore.

Ok thanks for the feedback. Having not speant much on upgrades ever I'm not real experianced but 60 bucks on a short little promethues g36c barrel just seems unnecesary... I'm willing tho!! Unless anyone can suggest a tried an true... Mad bull are a little more cost efficient, are they any good?

I highly recommend upgrading your hopup rubber before getting a tightbore, the hopup rubber is third the cost and will make a far greater difference than a tightbore.
Either a guarder clear rubber if your under 350fps, or ARS rubber if your over 350

I have had great success with Madbulls tight bore. Cheaper as well.

Thanks I'll look into that. Iv got the concave spacer already, wich made a big difference, but just the original hopup rubber still. Nice to know...

when i bought my m14 it was rated for 450 fps but i was told that what it has the potential to shoot. so changing the hop up rubber, tight bore will do it . do i need to replace the spring???

Lower the spring to a M100-M110 wouldn't hurt, 370-380 is the "sweet spot"

i should really chrony it in to see what im shooting but i figured its around 300. but i kinda wish i had just got the ebr cuz now im wanting to put rails etc on mine

Remember when you add a new Tightbore (assuming its good quality and all) your fps will jump to an average of 10-15fps.

Iv got no complaints about that at all! My g36c is currently shooting at around 360 with I think an m100, so a tightbore will bring it up a bit, and apparently a bearing spring guide adds another 10- 15 fps... Should be around what I want for a smallish gun like a g36... However if its not high enough I'm hopin that an m110 won't push it over the field limit of 425 fps...!:eek:

tightbores are 10-15, spring guides are 5-10. But this is all assuming your getting a good airseal in the first place

For example, a stock ICS M4 that shoots 320 fps, will shoot 350 when you replace the cylinder head, piston head, and air nozzle for quality components.

Tanio koba twist tight bore
guarder hopup sleave
m110 promotheus spring

giving me a steady 340/350 fps with .2g and more range and accuracy than my 450 fps ( with .36g) aps2

Isn't the max FPS amount for a Tanio twist barrel 320 or 1 joule?
