Just by bastards! Can't go wrong ;-)

-1 on bastards... Green Devils are great BBs sold by a great guy (brownie points? :P). Buy them here http://www.bentbarrelgundoctor.com/ or look for Darklen in these forums and send him a PM... he will answer all your questions.

The .3's are great. I'm having very good results.
In my PTW at 320fps they have good range and
very good consistency.

Outcast569 July 8th, 2011 12:55

BBbastards and Green Devil are the only 2 brands Ill use. Never had a jam with either and the .3's are great. Still have 2 bags left of a 6 bag order. Love them.

I had never used Green devils before Clay bank, and so I took a chance based on what people were saying.
They sucked big time!
I will never ever put another green devil through one of my guns. The bb's were small or soemthing and were double feeding through my gun. Most of the guys who went with me had to chrono with green devils, and the green devils jammed in most of the guns.
If your running a nicely tuned gun with a tight bore.
Skip Green Devils.
if your not running a highly tuned gun, then green devils might work for you.

In the end its your call.
I learned my lesson though.

Green Devils rule, I run them in all my guns from stock TMs straight up to PTWs and highly upgraded VSR-10 in weights from .25-.30, never had an issue, they are great work better then all the other brands I have tried including BBBastard.

Uh, I was working the chrono station most of the time, and I don't recall ANY jamming issues. Not saying there weren't any, but of the hundreds of players using them at the station I dealt with, no one had any issues.

Anyway, I use them, sell them, and love them.

That's an outlier for statistical result....
Bastard are 5.98mm bb while Green Devil are 5.95mm, I think that's your problem.

If the Green Devils were smaller then they should not be jamming.

I run bastards in all my guns.

Did we not just go through this in your "ordering from x fire" thread?

Bastards are the standard these days. What more do you need to know?

Styrak July 8th, 2011 15:28

He wants an alternative, what's so bad about that? Not everyone uses Bastards.

vondnik July 8th, 2011 15:42

I used excel .20g /.23g for the last ten years without any issues. Same performance than anything else in all my guns ( except the dmr and bolt action.... They run on bastards now.... Used to be running guarders) but they seem to be out of fashion these days..... time to order from overseas sign..........

camerashot July 8th, 2011 16:29

I never said my gun was jamming. I said my gun was double feeding!
Those that were with me had the jamming issues. I apologize if my verbage wasnt clear.

I actually dont even use bastards myself. I use a brand of BB's I bought when i was in the US last year. They work awesome.
Im not touting Bastards as the best. They are good though.
I just said I will never use a Green Devil again!
man behind the rifle- there is a thread on here somewhere if you do a search of someone who took some close up pictures of Green Devils before claybank. Maybe those pics might be informative!
Or, spend the money, buy a bag and see if they work for you. All guns are different, and you might like green devils while others wont!

I love Green Devils; Last season they are all I shot. My highly tuned AEG's, GBB's, and crappy AEG's all love them. One tuned AEG does not like Green Devil .25's, just shoots slow, but I find Airsoft Guns are like real guns, not all ammo works for all guns. When they say biodegradible, I know it's true. They do not degrade with water alone, it must be dirt and water (and have seen them crumble in 24 hours with dirt, water, and air) but water soaking them for weeks doesn't hurt them.

I've spoken with Scarecrow and know the QA improvements he's gone through and would trust them in my guns; just that logistically Green Devils are more convienent.

Personally; I have seen such a massive improvement in BB's in Canada, I think we're maybe nitpicking. Compared to trying out some of the 'good' non-homegrown brands, I am amazed at how good we have it now and am surprised at actually how crappy the brands I started with are.
