mk 1 combat gauntlet

so this morning i broke my hand and my wrist. and will have to be in a cast for the next few months. what sucks is that i cant hold my rifle, or my pistol. so i am thinking about making an attachment for it so i can mount a pistol and flashlight to it.
eventualy i will be getting one of the cheap MP5's from walmart and using the parts to make an integraded one (mk2 after my cast is off).
the reason for using the cheap wally world one is because the motor is in the body as apposed to the pistol grip,

any thoughts

?
I dunno it sounds cool if you can get it working but..in the same light sounds kinda silly.

or you know learn to use your other hand? (insert sex pun)

Suggestion: Don't do it and stay away from "extreme sports" until you fully heal.. doubt stress on the hand (eventhough its in the cast) is good..

i planed on building it before i broke my hand, now it just moves it up in the list of projects i have planed

i probly wont be doing any gaming in the near future.

I'd say as above, use the time to get semi-comfortable with using your other hand, it does come in handy at times!

Have to back up what Stalker and ViR are saying.

Don't mess about with your injured hand, even with a cast on. Took me a year to get normal functionality back on my left wrist when I broke it and even still I sometimes get wierd aches and pains in there.

Use this time to practice your off-hand training and to improve its dexterity, perfect excuse to do so!

Best of luck with the recovery process.

this post was about discussing a combat gauntlet, i know i cant play, even if i did learn to shoot with my off hand i wouldnt be able to reload.

SuperCriollo February 17th, 2012 16:37

Get yourself an MP5K with a high cap, or a drum mag. No need to reload lol

Cpt- Lovegrove February 25th, 2012 12:41

so after talking with my local gundoc, i will be cutting down a walmard MP5 wiring the trigger to a button and mounting it to the back side of the cast. when i am out of the cast i will be reenforcing it with fiberglass, and running the wires were they are protected a peq box with the battery, flashlight and posibly a lazerpointer

i can already shoot with my off hand, tough not as well(duh)

if anyone has any ideas on other things to be attached to it (with in reason) i will consider it
