VFC Questions
 

Hey folks.

Had a number of people tell me to look into VFC AEGs for quality. I was also told to go with their deluxe models if I wanted the good internals and such. Well, how do I know if a model is a deluxe version? Some sites actually have (Deluxe) next to the item in question...other sites do not.

If a VFC AEG has an "E" in the model number, is that signifying the sport line and, thus, not the deluxe editions?

I am asking as I have been browsing TO Airsoft and I cannot tell which ones are deluxe.

What VFC models are you looking at?

VFC exterior are fantastic. If you held a E series you would not know it.

You may want to look at a VFC Scar. That is beautiful.

The DX models will have the nicest externals and trades and maybe some extra parts also often they get a unique serial number.

DX SCAR was in a case with 2 barrels.

DX EGLM came with all the extra magwells and spare parts.

The DX versions are usually part of the first release. Once they're sold out and the production has been going for a while they might not be re-released.

The high end vfc's are super nice, if you can afford it. If not, go with the e-series. They are still an amazing gun. I own one and with a little work they shoot great

I think Shaner was asking how to identify the different lines if the retailer does not specify which one they're selling.

That is correct, but hearing about the quality is also great. I just posted a very active thread about G&P's. I own one, and I have had no issues...but several informed me about the VFC line, so I wanted to find out more about them.

I have five VFC's and never pay too much attention if it was deluxe or what series it was.

I also have two G&P M4. I did not care about what series they were either. I like the VFC and G&P externals and that is good enough for me.

Dunno about what series these are, but I have personally held, shot, and been impressed with the following:

VFC M4 SOPMOD - solid.
VFC M4 Quake SBR - solid.
VFC mk12 mod 1 SPR - solid.
VFC SCAR - not my thing, but my buddy has a stock one that's endured two seasons with zero issues.

I think that no matter which VFC you choose, you can't really go wrong. Even if you're just getting into the sport.

I have a VFC AKMS and its a great gun. My only gripe is the faux bolt could be better but that's a minor thing.


I was quite surprised by its consistency and ROF out of the box

E-series M4's come with a plastic selector switch and allow mag catch and mag release. Thats the only difference I can see between both, other than trades.

In between classes at the moment, I'll try to elaborate more later, but I'll say that it's probably not very cost effective to have two tooling setups for a "high end" and "eco" line. Therefore internals should all be the same just externals might be different (ie. ambi selector on Knights series from VFC vs none on the regular "E" series).

Take for example the VFC PDW, there is a standard version and a DX version, the standard doesn't have as much cool stuff but the DX includes rail covers, battery box, KAC PDW Suppressor, KAC Vert Grip, extra inner barrel (and inner barrel extension for 8 inch or 10 inch), etc.

Just go to a brick and mortar store and hold a VFC in your hands. You can decide if VFC is for you at that time.

VFC= Awesome gun. I had G&P, ICS, Echo 1 then got VFC and will never switch back. Now i just need someon to carry the SAW in VFC and I would be buying in a heart beat.

The VFC PDW is very nice. The internals are the same for deluxe and non deluxe as far as I can tell though , and if you're serious about your internals you'll mostly gut them (piston , gears, motor in particular), so focus on the overall quality of the brand as a base for jumping off to projects . In that regard, VFC is quite good. Not perfect, but easier (than G&P) to recommend to someone new who isn't into gearboxes yet. That's the trouble with G&P. I can recommend them to experienced players and techs, but new folks are just asking for a headache . You'll be happy with a VFC whether it's deluxe or not.
