wire mesh for mask

Does anyone have information on the wire mesh they use for the half face masks?
Whats it called?
What coating is on it?
How big is the holes?

thankx

Hey, man.
Wire mesh masks are amazing! They air-out very well and keep your face fairly cool, rather than having a full guard that you're breathing into.
Coating? Mine have just paint, I think, not sure?
The holes are MUCH smaller than a regular bb.
I've aimed into a window and a bb it me right in the middle of my mask. As far as I know there were no marks on the mask. I've seen people's mask dent or the paint chips off.

Take it from me, being young and caring very much about my teeth.
Metal mesh masks are awesome and very safe.
I hope I helped.

Ya they are awesome, mesh is only a no-no for eye protection, cause if a bb were to say shatter, it won't do much to your lower face. But going through mesh over your eyes and shattering and going through would obviously cut your eyes. Full seal plastic goggles are the trick for that. I'm always worried about where my goggles meet my mesh mask I've bought, tiny gap and I'm worried a bb will come threw and it could really hurt.

They are basically called just that, Mesh airsoft masks
There are 2 types, ones that cover the ears and ones that don't
The coating is a Gloss Clear coat on most of them
The holes are 2mm x 2mm approx, it is mesh, so they do slightly bend
