Anti wobble receiver pin
I remember hearing faint whispers on the wind about a magical AR body pin that would help alleviate upper/lower receiver wobble. Is this such a thing? I can't find it. I'm not sure if my search-fu is weak, or they don't make them after all (or not for AEGs).

Mostly for GBBRs
G&P might have made one for AEGs but not too sure However, a pin's a pin; if your AEG has standard pin sizes, I don't see why it wouldn't work Search for Ratech or G&P Magic Pin Airsoftparts.ca and probably loads of other sells it |
Awesome, thanks guys

not a fan of the magic pin for GBBRs, they tend to crack the pin block. for a 7075 T6 forged upper, not really a problem.

for GBBR, some of that thick foam on the rear end, yknow close to where the pin post thingy meets the lower, if you add the foam there, it will push up the lower, eliminating most, if not all wobble

like this! this would be my 2nd last choice though, Oring turns into chunks after a while http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/IMG_6251.jpg |
I would personally leave it be if this was a GBBR. The first C7 I ever shot was so wobbly that I was amazed it even ran, but it ran and shot well. On forged receivers you don't have to worry about brittle fractures as much as on cast receivers, especially pot metal. Putting more tension and stress on cast pot metal, coupled with the shock of constantly firing the weapon (GBBR, AEG not so much)... it's a bad recipe for premature failure.

Don't tell Brad, but I use electrical tape as a wedge to remove receiver wobble from my PTW

On my WE m4 gbbr I actually put the back pin in the opposite way and it seems so much sturdier. Though it have to take off the buffer tube after i game with it just to open it, its much nicer not feeling any wobble at all.
