I used to know where to get them, but can't seem to find the info right now.

Best bet would be to e-mail either TigerTactial (info@tigertactical.com) or Seals Action Gear (info@sealsactiongear.com) as they do their own manufacturing and will porbally either be able to tell you their source or sell you some buttons if you only need a few.

Army Issue has them in his store. Both the large and small size, I don't know if he has both colors though... his site is here: http://www.armyissue.com/

If they aren't listed there I'm sure you could just email him and ask

I once heard the buttons on CF issued clothing were edible as a last resort like 20 years ago, I had the same confused look as well. Each time I LOOK at my buttons, I remember that. Talk about fucked up yet unproven. Someone PLEASE release me from this mental issue!!!

I read about that too. Apparently some versions of the CF issue parka were issued with buttons made out of protein plastic which you could boil and eat during an emergency. I wouldn't try it though.

Eww...anyways, I know that Dave's has a big box of tape buttons (all sizes) near the entrance. I've never asked the price though...as for tan buttons... :banghead:

There area actually stories about Canadian buttons being edible that date back to the Korean war. Aparently some of the troops back then tried it. End result, all they ended up with was a melted plastic button in a cup of water and some guy guy that left his jacket unattended missing his buttons.
