Tokyo Marui Shotguns shoot in a spray of 3 (Spas, M3 Series)
Maruzen Gas Shotguns can shoot 1 - 10 BB's per shell (M870, M1100 Series)
Maruzen Spring, VFC (GB Tech), and G&P Shotguns Shoot 1 BB per shot (M870 Series)
Marushin Gas Shotguns *I think* have a variable spray, somebody correct me on this one. (Specifically the M500)

Tokyo Marui Shotguns are the most affordable and reliable in any airsoft shotgun you will proably encounter. Maruzen shotguns look pretty, and are great to hang on your wall, but they lack preformance and they cannot take propane unless modifications are done to it. The Maruzen, VFC and G&P spring shotguns are extremely reliable and boast a huge selection of upgrades. Then theres Marushin, full metal, but has problems such as the pump arm possibly snapping and extremely slow reload times due to the stupid system they devloped. On the bright side I believe they can eat propane right out of the box.

Marushin problems you say? Like what? I'm curious about these Marushin shotguns. I may consider buying one if some cold day in hell, a retailer gets one. I'm thinking of the non-8mm, silver, full stock M500. Does anyone have any info on any 6mm Marushin shotguns such as power, gas reliablity, what gas you can you can use, etc.?

I've got a Marushin M1887. It allows 1-3 8mm BB's per shell. (The spread is decent as well.) The gun works like a dream. Fires around 450Fps on propane with 1 BB per shell though. I haven't had any problems with it.

450 FPS with 8mm bb's? All I can say is ouch.

Yeah. It's pretty brutal. If your using 3 BB's, it's in the 325-350 range with propane. If you use 3 BB's with duster gas, it goes about 275-300 fps. It's fantastic for clearing hallways in CQB environments.

it got shot with Marushin M1887 not at 450 FPS but a 8mm fucking hurt i hit the floor but it was close and a FF shot to but a 8mm at 450 i dont want to think about that.

I love mine. contrary to popular belief you can use propane in the m500. It simply blows off some of the access pressure via a relief valve. Heavy, accurate, spread is amazing and sounds hella cool to rack. I'm molding my soon to be real steel M500 off of my airsoft one.

Save your money and buy an AEG.

You'll get tons of real answers and get to meet folks too.

Trust me, nothing beats meeting others and trying guns out. You cant read about this stuff, you have to do it to understand.

Ill note though that the M500 is a VERY hard gun to find. Its a rare gun. We have1 on our team and its awsome.
If you can find one, your gonna pay bigtime for it.

Not really, just talk to Tru, about 550 for the Gun Shipped.

The only high end costs are the damn 8mm BB's. 20$~ for a bag of 500.

SPAS vs. M3
 

I've been thinking about buying one of the TM shotties. I know they both have basically the same internals and therefore same reliability. However I have heard that the SPAS shoots about 20 FPS more than the M3. Is this due to the longer barrel? Which is easier to pump? Why does the SPAS cost about 100$ more on most sites? Are the accuracy and range the same? Anyone who has used both, contributions appreciated.
