(AEG) Air comes out of Hop up at Mag / No BB Shoots

Good Evening Guys.

I gave my Gun recently away to install a R-Hop in it.

It was a airsoft shop i know very well and I think their work is good.

But the problem was, after i got my gun back, the bbs won't shoot out, but the pressure goes out of the feeding tube for the mag.

My gun is a Modified CM 16 Raider DST with a high torque motor and 11.1v lipo.

Before the R-Hop mod the FPS were spot on 350m/s or 1.4J with 0.25g BBs

I request your help to resolve this issue quickly, otherwise I have to give it back to them to repair it again. (and it can take up to a week)

For further information just ask and i will answer as quickly as possible.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Cheers from Austra (no kangaroos)
Michael

Unless you're willing to take the gun apart to work on it, you're going to have to send it back anyway.

Looking into the hop chamber from the mag well, does the air nozzle move back and forth? If it doesn't, broken tappet plate.
With the air nozzle full forward, shine a light up the magwell and look down the barrel, can you see any light? If you do, mechbox misalignment, hop rubber issue, or hop chamber not seated properly

do you have a de-jamming rod? it sounds like something is stuck in the barrel. you can use a flash light to verify. Flash light from the front and see if you see the light from feeding tube.

Everything from the motor side works fine and I installed and checked it myself properly. (I played a match with this gun before letting the airsoft shop install the R-Hop

It seems that the BB+ hopup rubber is blocking the air and the force to overcome that friction is too high.

Also the barrel is free. And when i try to shoot it it shoots nothing at first than one bb and than two and you can really hear that pressure building up. ( I found this out today because i was angry and pulled the trigger several times)

I will post some photos later this evening for clarification.
or is a video better ?

Greetings
Michael

do you have a different set of hop-up and barrel from a different gun? try to switch the inner barrel and hopup from another gun and see if the problem transfer to the other gun or not.

Try turning the hop up a bit.
If there's no resistance to the BB when it gets fed into the barrel, it'll just make its way most of the way down the barrel before compressed air hits it, and it will barely make it out of the barrel.

Turn the gun upside down and pull the trigger. Is it shooting? If so replace your mag.

If this does not work, go back to the airsoft shop and get a refund because they just sharted on your gun.

Try turning the hop completely off. If the friction of the hop up is still too much something has likely gone wrong with the R-hop patch or the nub is too thick.

So Guys sorry that i reply late.
It seems that the rubber of the hop is too tight.
Must the nozzle push the bb in to the hop rubber?

This far does the bb go without holding the loading end shut.

And the hop is completely shut off.

Not your problem. Your gun tech messed it up most likely and any problems arising from their work is their responsibility. Get a refund.

If it's having a real hard time getting past the hop rubber seal lip, they used the wrong hop rubber. The weight of a pen should be enough to push the BB through the seal.
