Customs delaying orders...

I've had an order pending customs inspection since last Monday (Oct 15). Does anyone know how long they normally take to clear? This is an order from WGC but nothing is to be considered "restricted" so what could the hold up be? My guess is that everyone is buying more because of the $dollar$, which translates into more paperwork = longer delays!!!

I've ordered from Redwolf in the past & normally it's been here in a week!

my order from ehobby took a while too ordered october 12 got here yesterday so just wait it out and it should be there soon

TokyoSeven October 24th, 2007 11:25

Well the last 3 orders I have done that were out of country ended up in the hands of customs, but according to all the tracking info they were in and out of customs with in 3-4 hours. Just long enough for them to recieve it and go

"Hmmm flagged person having items mailed! Yay opening package party"

*Buttsecks with coworkers*

" Doh nothing illegal, or even remotely close with in all the fake laws we have made up so we can no take this item and stick it in our bums "

*More buttsecks with coworkers*

"Well I'll just wrap this item back up as crappy as I can before I have some more buttsecks with my co workers and then send it out"

*More buttsecks again with coworkers*
*Buttsecks with sheep*
*Buttsecks with moose*
*Butt secks with coworker disguised as sheep*
*Super happy funtime all male bukake party*

Thats sorta how I see it going everytime they get a package they have to open.

Sometimes you get some perfectionist CBSA jerk that opens every package for fun.. let him get his jollies and if there is some sticky stuff on your items just
sanitize and throw out the packaging

Don't knock it till you try it...I mean watch someone else try it. Ya...

I've had orders clear customs in a few hours, like T7 said, and I've also had customs keep a package for 5 days or a week.

Myself and a co worker decided that the best way to have sex with a sheep would be to use Velcro gloves, and possition the sheep on the edge of a cliff.
The velcro gloves would enable the...sheep sexer? sheep fornicator? sheep fucker? To properly hand onto to the sheep. Now if they position the sheep on the edge of the cliff, each thrust would cause the sheep to think they were being pushed over the hedge and they would push back. In theory it would work. But I dont really have the urge to fornicate with a sheep.

Maybe a bear though.
Wooooo Bear Fucker!

There was something like this on local forums..

Apperently customs is doing something to insure buisnesses are putting the proper amounts.. So you've gotta call them and tell them the amount... or something like that..

Apperently you get randomly selected to take part in their "survey"

Styrak October 24th, 2007 14:58

Customs calls you? WTF?
And how the hell would you know how much the company put on. Any packages I've got don't have the correct amount (usually less).

TokyoSeven October 24th, 2007 15:03

Most packages I recieve usually have a false value on the front, I believe its done in most cases as a courtesy so we dont get raped by taxes.

Good news...

I just received confirmation that my first shipment from WGC has cleared customs & is in transit...YEAH !!!!! Here comes my metal slides!!!

Styrak October 24th, 2007 17:09

Yay. Congratulations.
I just recently ordered a G26c metal slide and barrel, which luckily didn't get checked by customs. :)

"Well I just got back from DHL shipping facility and Canada Customs office with some information I felt is worth sharing with the airsoft community.

Apparently Canada Customs has started a new policy to survey price discrepancies on items shipped to Canada. Apparently this is to help cut down on eBay sellers, and other retailers who label their items far below the actual cost.

If you have any shipments that are sitting in customs it may not necessarily be that they are seized but that you have been the luckily chosen member of this "random survey", as they seemed to call it.

How it works: Canada Customs sends notification papers to the shipping company to hold certain packages selected at random. You will undoubtedly notice that your package has been sitting in customs for 2-4 days, and call inquisitively.

What you need to do: Print off your sales receipt, probably from Paypal, and go to the shipping office. They will give you the notification paper they received from customs, which you will take to the Canada Customs office. At Customs they will look at your receipt, and the quoted price from the shipper on the package. They will ask you the purpose of the item, and charge you the appropriate amount of taxes.

Finally you take the stamped and signed Customs papers back to the shipping company who will give you the package.

Hopefully non of you will be lucky as I was and need to do this. I'm sure its not so bad for those who need to compete with rush hour traffic. My only real annoyance is that they will not notify you within a reasonable time period, they basically expect you to call and ask why your package is in customs for such a long time.

Anyways, at least I got my package. :)" - Ducky, Manitoba Airsoft Association

Note to self, have all incoming packages labelled as gift or commercial sample.

Also I need to mail a picture off my asshole to the CBSA since they seem to enjoy wanting to stick their finger in it so much.
