Quality M8?

Does anyone make a good XM8, or is it only manufactured by Well and AGM?

Is the SRC any good?

Donster November 8th, 2007 09:58

i no that you can buy a kit that goes over a G36. so you can get good internals with the XM8 exterior.

Sounds like the best way to go. Has anyone done this?

Donster November 8th, 2007 10:04

you would have to ask around. i no WGC shop used to sell them but they are discontinued there. even you do find them in stock, you would have to get someone to import it for you as it counts as a weapon reciever. soooo, i reccommend Juggles from www.airsoftparts.ca

Get age verified, there are prebuilt g36 xm8 conversions in the classified section.

bayruun November 8th, 2007 12:32

I'll check those out in a week or so, once I'm verified. By then I'll also have some airsoft experience, and have a better idea of what I'm looking for. But I figured that the XM8 goes well with the MultiCam/GRAW theme (although as one of the grunts, not a Ghost).

amano999 November 8th, 2007 13:18

There are 1 or 2 in the classifieds as well. After you get verified you could always buy one of those. Saves you the trouble of having to find the kit.

the src xm8 is going to be the best one you can get,. they took the time to do it properly. they have a 3X scope in it already, have iron sights (a feature only found on the src) and a bettery assembly take down design. though src doest have a good name yet, they did a very good job on this rifle. i just sold my *tm* xm8 that i had completley modded to the level of the src and plan on replaceing it in the future with and src.

as the src is the cheapest route its all around better. you dont get tm internals as when you do the g36 conversion, you get a better gun in the end. there arent many gws conversions out there anymore, i sold both of mine, plus my assembled xm8, if you can get ahold of my old one, id try to get that one.

just to clarify donster, the xm8 isnt a production rifle yet, ergo it doesnt egsist in the governments eye. its not restricted nore regulated, its on the same lines as the m41a pulse rifle.... not a real gun. YET you may have problems still getting it across the boarder.

as you can assume from my earlier post i had done it several times. ive owned just about every style of xm8 out there. b&e, palco, gws, ect. i ONLY reccomend the gws and src, if you cheap out and get the other brands, do me a favor and walk out infront of a bus, those are the reason the xm8 isnt popular.

Thanks, I'll look into both SRC and the used guns as soon as I can. What are the mags like for the XM8? Are locaps available?
[edit] I've heard they use G36 mags, which is nice.

PS. The XM8 actually looks pretty sweet in those photos.

swatt13 November 8th, 2007 14:01

yea it uses tm and ca mags. i prefer the tm ones as tehy have a better transperency and teh sim rounds look better. make sure you go to the links i provided you! also in the joc forums theres a data base where i wrote up the xm8, but the link is not working, ill try and get it for you in the future.

if youd like more pics go here http://s74.photobucket.com/albums/i280/swatt13/ and click on any of the months not marked 07. (may, june, keystone 2.5 most noteably)

Always go for the qaulity when it comes to airsoft.

I find cheaping out in airsoft is like taking a big greasy shit and then not wiping your ass afterwards. You still get the job done, but after a while, your gona feel kinda shitty, and wonder why you didnt go all the way.

Are you saying that the SRC isn't quality? I've heard that the only problem with it was that the stock, when extended, is wobbly and fragile. Otherwise, it's supposed to be pretty good.

TokyoSeven November 8th, 2007 15:30

Im saying go with quality, SRC being that quality.

bayruun November 8th, 2007 15:39

Alright, I was planning on that. However, I can't find them listed on A&A or 007. I guess I'll just have to wait until I'm verified and look through the classifieds.

swatt13 November 8th, 2007 18:19

yup there is some one selling on in the classifieds right now, along with a gws one as well, ill give you the links and you can visit them when your verified.

gws

src
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...&highlight=xm8

again i would reccomend either, but would lean towards the src for the scope and iron sights.
