ICS Problem

My ICS was working fine although I sent it to get it checked out anyways by a local gun doctor. Two weeks after I got it back and tried it out, Ive been having major problems. My gun doc told me that it he tested it before shipping it back and that it worked fine and I believe him.

My problems are that it will fire only 10 feet before the BB drops, then it wont fire a BB, then it will fire two or three BBs all at once that only go 10 feet.

Before anyone asks, Ive tried it with two brand new fully charged batteries and it does the same problem with both.

I took the upper part of the mechbox out and checked it for cracks which there isnt any which is nice. What else could be my problem?

i had a similiar problem myself with mine. baffled the hell out of me as it started happening mid-game. in the end,,turns out i somehow had torn the the hop-up rubber,,and shot the bucking out! further inspection revealed i had also worn out the hop-up chamber itself. over time the hop-up adjustment dial had worn down the lever that puts pressure on the bucking, i was only getting minimal to no hop adjustment because of it. see if that helps.

I think you know based on your post for a tappet...

I had a tappet break where the spring attaches to it
and the tappet wouldn't move back a forth to load bbs
properly so— it would only spit out a few when there
was a enough of them crammed in to form a crude
seal.

You have to be careful when popping off the top mech
or you can damage the tappet, if the spring is still
cocked back. Always press the de-cocker before you
separate the mechbox.

Yeah Ive taken the ICS apart crudely a couple times and always reminded to press the decocker first. I was thinking the tappet since it looks like it was shattered at one point and then glued back together. I'll try that first and then go from there.

UPDATE: Well it seems the seller said the gun was sold to me with KNOWN hopup issues but not known to me, so it could also be a hopup problem as well.

Drache check to see if you have the hop up bucking in the unit still. It can pop out easily because there is a hole where one can easily replace it and I found that mine had the tendency to pop out whenever it wanted to... this is at least with an older ICS.
