M4 motor grip

Hey, I recently removed my motor from the grip and painted the grip. Problem is I painted a bit inside as well. When I went to put the motor back in, it was a very tight fit(stuck...ish). Is it because of the paint or are the wires in the way? Where are you supposed to pass the wires?

Thanks,
Tim.

wire are supposed to run behind the motor (back of the grip) positive lead of the motor should be oriented to the front of the grip

and for the paint just get a rag with acetone or thinner on it and wipe off the paint
