I see that people sometimes do unnecessary external and accessories upgrades, for all platforms.
So let me rephrase the question: Is the cost to bare gaming-reliable upgrades for sniper rifles more than the cost of those on AEGs?
My estimate is that after those upgrades, a sniper would reach the 700-800 mark (this is just taking examples from a few ads in the classifieds since I've no experience with sniper rifles), and a G&P M4 would be around 800-900 (since the stock full metal M4 is already pretty damn expensive).
That doesn't look too far apart.
