I don't think these guys have much experience shimming helicals..

You want a VERY little bit of play once everything is tightened down, you not only have to make sure that the gears aren't contacting each other, but you have to make sure that the helical teeth are getting as much contact as possible without any rubbing or grinding.

With prom double torques and 8mm kanzen bearings I was able to get 9-12 revolutions free spin.
