Well I can't speak for everyone but....I have had my WE M4 GBBR for just under a year now and it's game-ability is awesome. With a properly adjusted hop-up the accuracy is excellent. As others have said, gas efficiency and fps consistency can be a problem in cold weather, but the realism and sheer quality of an all metal GBBR just cannot be beat. I use mine mainly for indoor CQB or outdoor skirmishes when weather will allow. I use my AEG rarely these days.

To sum up, I don't think GBBR's are going to replace AEG's anytime soon as they are expensive and require more in the way of maintenance, than most players want to deal with. However, if you have the wallet for it...there is just nothing else that comes anywhere near their realism.
