Does the suppressor extend the inner 6.xx barrel, or does it simply sit in-front of the stock inner barrel?

The reason i ask is that i want to put ether a longer barrel on my WE G36C (maybe a G36K barrel) or alternatively attach a suppressor, however i also want to extend the length of the inner barrel for accuracy, not just cosmetics.
