I am very interested in seeing how this all turns out. I have often contemplated what it would take to machine quality metal parts to replace the hinge plate and part #27. If you do end up making some of these parts I would be more than willing to dish out $100 for a set. I have already burned through 4 hinge plates with the open bolt system, fortunately my part #27 is still holding strong.
