doesn't make sense, if the trigger contact were burning out, switching it to full auto and then back to semi would still result in no firing, but when I do this, it fires. I will disassemble the gearbox again after the game this weekend to investigate the trigger contact, I don't think this is the case with less than 2000 rounds through the gun.
