for good proper no issue connection :

wire crimpers, soldering iron, and a little hot glue


tin the wires, very light tin on the connector, crimp the connector inplace, solder the two together (heat the connector till the solder on it and the wire run free and together.) .. plug them into the connector, then fill the wire end of the connector with hot glue to hold them in position as they are always loose in the connector block


ofcourse.. your best option is to switch your batteries and charger to deans as they are a far far better connector ... and just keep adaptors in your box for dean/tamiya if you need to borrow one of theirs or vice versa ..

but the above has proven to be the best compromise for tamiya connectors in my opinion
