Pop/unscrew the front receiver pin (G&P sometimes uses a split pin with a hex screw, or a full pin which pops out).

Pull the charging handle back a little, and slide the whole upper receiver forward and off of the gun. Take note that there might be wiring running from the lower receiver to the upper receiver for battery placement in the hand guard or on the rails.

Look in the upper receiver and pull the hop up unit out. Now it should break down like a regular V2 hop up.
