Honestly, both have crippling cons.
The JG is something I have personal experience with. A friend of mine had purchased one a long while back as his first gun. The tabs went as expected, and we had looked into getting a replacement body.
They take from the TM design with those JG's. The rail unit is actually part of the upper receiver itself and retains the two halves of the receiver. So if you were to replace the body, you will have to get rid of the rail unit itself. There was a peice that changed the rear rail to fit on a regular receiver, but they're impossible to find now.
The gun will fall apart.
