Nice work man, add a padded hydration pouch and that would be a great day pack!
For E&E purposes I would add itw nexus QR buckles (or just regular side release ones) on the straps just so the pack can be instantly taken off in emergencies. Since you'd be doing alot of walking and/or hiking, the shoulder straps should be padded and comfortable, a sternum strap would be a big plus. The last thing you'd want is sore shoulders or a chaffed neck slowing down progress to extraction/safety.
Other than that you've got a really great technique and the stitching looks like it could take some abuse, molle's nicely done too. I like the design keep it up!
