Unfortunately, as pusangani's image shows, that might be the only economical option.
It might be repairable, depending on what jammed, and what broke and where.
There is no telling the presence or absence of mechanical mayhem awaiting, within and without of the gear box shell, without making it go explody in a controlled fashion with screw-driver in hand. Similarly so, just in disassembling the gun to get to the gearbox itself, without breaking something else along the way...
It's a five minute diagnosis sitting on the desk in front of me. It's only infinite variables of random grief with a cheap throw-away gun, from any further away than that.. sorry.
