OK, maybe it needs to be a learned skill because the numbers I got tonight aren't anything to write home about.
So the test was at my kitchen table, a traditional 180 round speedloader (
http://www.evike.com/products/27663/) versus the SL14. I started with both loaders empty and filled 6 of my magazines then stopped the timer.
Traditional speedloader: 4:38:60
SL14: 4:15:29
I was again trying to fill the track to get full pumps on the SL14 which for sure slowed me down, but honestly I thought I'd easily be half the time of a traditional speedloader but numbers don't lie. Maybe I'll get faster as it's only the second time I've used it but so far that's not very impressive.
As for how many rounds it loads, it seems to just be a few less then the rated 130 rounds of my midcaps... like 123 rounds and 125 rounds in the two I counted afterwards. Then again who knows if they fit exactly 130 rounds.
Plus on the SL14 it's a bitch to get the BBs out, that trap door is a complete pain to hold while trying to remove all the BBs.
