You can do well with just a pistol in very close quarters, obviously because of how easy they are to wield and how they slim your profile. They just aren't as versatile as a solid SMG or CQB rifle and someone whom knows how to use it.
TM mags (and a few others) will release gas once full, others you have to wait until they equalize and you don't hear it anymore. That's why you want to ensure your gas cans aren't near empty or they'll equalize at low pressure.
Run two pistols if you like separately, but AVOID DUAL-WIELD unless your heart is set. You obviously can if you like, but it's not recommended.
It sounds like you should look into the Tokyo Marui MK23 Socom. Lots of aftermarket parts, some of the best performance of pistols and can be made super quiet. The downside is it's non-blowback and it's big. You'd need fairly large paws to run it. Mags hold lots of gas though.
