A quick visual reference for you guys contemplating the Star G3 mags:

This was a fast hack job I did with a pocket knife. A Dremel with the appropriate tool would be a lot cleaner and faster, unfortunately my buddy has mine. Again.

The mod doesn't need to be major, the raised area just needs to be flush with the part below it. I experimented crudely with these because I got them for $5 a piece brand new, so if I screwed one up it wasn't a big loss.
