The color is less important than the pattern. A good camo does not "blend" into the environment, but rather breaks up the pattern of your body. Humans use pattern recognition to determine what objects are. No pattern = poor recognition.

I'm not saying that blaze orange and yellow done in a Marpat pattern will allow you to disappear in the bush, but you'd be surprised what works and where.

ACU and Urban will work in the bush and Cadpat will work on a boat. It's all about position and how much "pattern" you show your foe.
