They've since released new metal gears which I'm going to exchange for the crap ones that came with these AEGs. First release was junk, but it looks like they've changed some things around. Other than the plastic gears, the AEG was pretty well built. I can't say anything about lifecycle durability of the other elements of the AEG as the gears gave out so soon, but the rest of the TK65 appears to be pretty convincing.
While the "Elken" sounds to be pretty junky, it's a pretty nice looking replica. The optics aren't anything like the real thing, but they're quite adequate for airsoft. The carriage and body of the scope are a pretty good imitation of the real deal. After molesting a heap of real steel arms and optics at ShotShow, I'm spoiled. ShotShow kind of warps the perspective for airsoft stuff.
