It also depends where you play... I started last year and I was 16, this is in and around Calgary though.
Play age is way different then how old you have to be to own your own guns, if you can understand the difference. A lot of places (to my knowledge) will let you play with borrowed/rented guns as long as you have a parent/guardian on the premises.
