It's actually not a bad idea to leave it in if it won't do any damage. I fucked up my had a couple years ago and had either a piece of glass stuck in there or i had nerve damage. X-rays showed nothing but it's a piece of glass, had to try and find that, but they decided not to go in and look because of all the nerves in your hand and the possibility of severe damage. I can only imagine what could happen to the nerves in a homemade precedure, especially if your body has already started to form a scar around the bb (which it would after 7 months)
