Fitment issues..
Well... I can't say I didn't know I would be getting into a bit of a headache switching my G&G plastic receivers over to metal but...
I picked up two Colt TM Dboys bodies from here for each of my G&G GR16s.. The receiver itself looks good except for Colt actually reading Colti and all seems to fit well together or so it seemed.
After I had my gearbox in and everything put together I realized my fire selection switch was VERY stiff and when it did move, the actual selector plate didn't. As soon as I took off the upper, the switch moved just fine. Put it back on, same thing. It seems as though something is getting pinched when the upper goes on. I also noticed staring up into the magwell that the air nozzle didn't seem aligned with the hopup?? Now I'm kinda wondering if its a hopup issue maybe, because I have the original plastic hopup and I'm not wondering if a metal hop would help here. The barrel looks good and straight in the outer barrel.
Anyway, has anyone had this issue with these bodies. I know they are hit and miss.. I obviously missed. I even tried the other body, same thing.
Any suggestions??
