I was browsing through the pictures on VFC's Facebook page when I came across this. Does anyone know what damage could be caused by depressing the trigger while the upper and lower receivers are separated?

in the picture it looks like the hammer is cocked and when firing it like that, it will cause unnecessary wear on the hammer and trigger assembly. Correct me if I'm could be wrong.

You're supposed to ease it by using your thumb while pulling the trigger... same as on a real one...

actually, hammer smashed against the firing block (the aluminium block with the firing pin, and the bolt lock.... ) and it could deform it.... :S
