it has been asked several times on this forum, basically, they are both the same, internally, but the m16 has a longer barrel then the m4, it's a personnal choice you ahve to make wether you like the m16 or the m4 the most....
PS: if you are a short person go for the m4.... (more compact) |

I have the m16 and love it. Are you planning on using it indoors and outdoors? If so then m4 but if it will be an outdoor only gun then id go m16.

Internally they're the exact same gun. Basically it comes down to which one you like the looks of better. If you're a shorter person or planning on playing indoors, I'd go for the M4. Long rifles are hard to maneuver quickly, but I prefer them anyway.

They look exactly as the appear in the online store. How tall are you? Are you an athletic person by nature? Answering these questions will help us give you a better answer.

So lets say you are aboyt 5'11 or taller then. Unless you plan on playing indoors alot I would go with a full length rifle. You will probably feel more comfortable and it has the added advantage of having a full stock so you can use a large battery. Now that being said there is absolutely nothing wrong with the G&G M4. Its what I have. Now I'm 5'8 so longer rifles are a little unweildly for me. But I can use it both indoors and outdoors.

No. More shit to break, and the blowback function isn't that great.

The blowback feature on an AEG is pretty much a gimick. Yeah sure it looks cool to see and it sounds ok but you are just paying more for zero functionallity. It does absolutly nothing for the rifle.

![]() Much modded on the outside, but you can see how even a "short" M4 can become long-ish, with the addition of a mock suppressor.

Lined up two rifles side by side for you if you wanted a size comparison. One's a full length 'M16' with a full stock on it, while the other is a basic TM M4 with a collapsible stock on it. The collapsible stock opens up to the same length as the full fixed stock, but you of course can now select which length your most comfortable with.
![]() Not to mention you can buy Stubby M4's which have a really short front barrel, if you want a good CQB gun thats easy to handle in tight quarters. |
