M4 s.i.r.

I currently have a regular old M4A1 and I was going to order the Dboys RAS handguards because I read on ASC that they are compatible with the ICS with maybe minor modifications.

But I don't like the look of a PEQ box on the side nor a battery pouch on my stock.

So I was browsing RSOV when I found this http://www.rsov.com/index.php?target...roduct_id=1357

I am still learning about the various types of M4 but if i'm not mistaken, this has enough room for a mini type battery to fit inside (please correct me if I'm wrong)

Anyhow, would this be compatible with the ICS M4 (slight modifications will be okay)

As far as I know you wouldn't need to modify the AEG for it to fit. It should fit any make of M4. As for the battery, I'm pretty sure you could fit a small type battery in there no problem.

Okay, thanks. I just had some worries because I looked at the M4 S.I.R. by ICS and it came with a crane stock so I was having doubts.

you should contact pusangani because he changed my ics m4 into an sir and i can fit mini batteries no problem. it is a little tight but it fits. you can only fit an ics brand sir rail on an ics m4 just for your information.

If you don't have your heart set on a SIR specifically, you could always do a CASV rail, which will also have a battery compartment for minis. They have tabs for quick opening

We have put the ics SIR on other m4's,

It is avaiable but expensive, pricing in the 180 range.

I was planning to go this route until I found out that most SIR/CASV won't fit CA's top receiver.

Aww...

what about the CASV's? would aftermarket ones fit in or is it an ICS only thing.

I thought that too, but I have an 09 model CA m15a4, and a King Arms CASV, and it fit without an issue.

I have a KA CASV and it fits my CA M4 fine, but I HATE, and I repeat HATE changing my battery or taking it out for any reason because it's so darn hard to keep on the outer rail without having a hand on it, WHILE trying to get the top piece secured. That being said, if you can set it up so that you don't have to remove it to charge and all that, it's fine. Too bad you missed it Raisin, I just had it up for sale on Op-for :P
