Help AK Side Mount
I have a CYMA Metal AK body and a side mount. I haven't a clue how i am supposed to attach the mount to the body. Would be greatly appreciated if anyone could shed some light on this for me.

Are you talking about the type of rail like in the link below?
http://tantal.kalashnikov.guns.ru/bstmounts.html You need to drill into the receiver and for some tap the hole with threads, or hammer in a rivet.

Yup, that's the one/s. There are already holes in it, 4 on the left side, and 3 on the right. Though none seem to line up. It's the metal body from Huang.
The mount looks most like the 74m-p it's also from Huang. |

I'd talk to Huang about connecting the dots. You can see in the link how many flavors of mount there are, if you've got a XX 47 body and a YY 74 mount you may need to swap one out.

The holes aren't for the mount. They're rivets on the real steel AK47, and metal buttons or discs that snap/glue in on airsoft.

Oh ok. So it IS just a matter of drilling and tapping the holes. Do i just line it up however i wish then?
