KWA USP mag leak
Ok, so my mag has been leaking for a while... Should probably get around to fixing it so here I am
listening to the mag when its charged I hear hissing coming out of the TOP of the mag (main valve) So I don't think the JB weld trick at the base of the mag will do anything here... I took out the valve (called rocket valve i believe?) and there seems to be no cracked or dried O rings...but I cant really tell...The valve also seems to be working absolubtly fine. I lubed them up and the leaking is still there...this time there's a bubbling sound from the silly oil, so im pretty sure I've located the leak. Now I have two theories, 1.the orings are done or 2. Im not screwing in the valve tight enough (Cant seem to find a screwdriver that fits perfectly, but it is in there pretty tight) Anyone with experience with this type of leak? Where could I get new O-rings that fit, or would I have to buy a new valve? thanks, Vincent |

take the valve out and silicone it leave it to dry and put it back in; even if the rubber seal is leaking that should fix it -- cheap and easy to do...

i had the same problem with one of my mags.. take the plastic base plate and then remove the metal base plate from the bottom of the mag by pushing the two pins out of the side of the mag ( you will see them in the rail where the plastic base plate slide on.. when you pull out the metal base plate you will find a large rubber seal.. take that, inspect it and if it still appears to be in order. clean it and give it a silicone bath then reseat it and reasemble the mag.. thats what i did for mine and it worked..

Thanks for the help gonna try that....I did drench the orings in oil already tho...didnt let it soak..i'll try that
as for the base of the mag...im 99% sure that bottom seal is not the leak... might try it out later tho thanks |
