Pricing for gun doc/ mod
I'm trying to find out how much its gonna cost me to have someone replace the spring in my AEG, I had it at a game sunday and it wasn't getting through the brush very well. I'm thinking a better spring will fix this, I've got a spring already I just don't feel comfortable enough to take it apart myself. Just want to know what the average cost of this would be considering I already have the part. (its a Real Sword AK) if that makes a difference.
any help would be awesome! |

The Type 97B has a quick spring swap system doesn't the 56 have one as well?

$15.
Naturally, it'd void the remaining time on any warranty.

It's doing around 330fps with a Real Sword MS90 spring.

yeah chrono'd between 328 - 334
its not enough when trying to shoot through the bushes. the M130 it came with do you know what that'd bring it to I heard it would be over 400, and the M120 would be better for games (due to the fps limit). |

On a RS Type 56 with good compression a Modify S110 will put you right on 400fps. Maybe 5fps over, maybe 5fps under. If you want to err on the side of caution a Modify S100 will put you right in the 380's.
Some games are very strict on the max 400fps limit, others aren't so much. If someone's going to charge you $15 to swap out your spring...go for it. Tys |

I may say yes to one guy shooting 405fps at SOME games based on numerous factors, but in the end it comes down to how much I trust that he/she will be safe with the slightly higher fps...usually it is a NO though and go borrow a gun.

The Type 56 Series does not have a close box spring swap feature.

hmm so it sounds like both the M120 and 130 are equally not a good Idea, I'm thinking I'm gonna have to buy another spring.... unless there is someone out there with the parts, I'm guessing I'm looking at 30 - 40 if I don't have the parts huh?

It would depend on the price of the spring.
Though personally, I'd just be doing the swap. You'd be responsible for providing the spring. And just to note, you'd be pretty hard pressed to find someone with more hours on the RS Type 56 series locally than myself.
