bringing airsoft across border
I recently bought a GBB Scar from the Warstore last Sunday and tried to cross the border without declaring it. Needless to say, I was randomly searched and ended up paying 30 someodd dollars in customs fees. The gun was inspected by about 4 customs officials and they did not mention anything about replica firearms or its legalities. They did not seem the least bit surprise that I was bringing an airsoft gun into Canada. Basically I was told that next time I buy something expensive I must declare it or risk being charged additional fees. This was quite surprising since I was expecting it to get seized based on the stories I read on the forums. Anyone else wanna chime in on their thoughts/experiences?
